Sales Account Representative

Genesee Energy is currently seeking an Outside Sales Account Representative.

Genesee Energy is a family owned and operated fuel distribution company operating in the Puget Sound region since 1929. We are seeking a self-driven business advocate for the position of Outside Sales Account Representative. Genesee Energy has a proven reputation of excellent customer service that is near 100 years in the making. We are seeking an individual who will help us continue to grow into new and expanding markets. The right person will need to provide an exemplary customer experience in developing an understanding of the customer’s needs, and determine which products and/or services will best meet their current and future needs.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Create face-to-face meetings with current and prospective customers
  • Work closely with commercial, industrial accounts, building contractors, along with Genesee Management and operational personnel
  • Perform aggressive marketing, cold calling and new business development opportunities for propane systems and Products within the region
  • Provide timely communications (personal, electronic, voice and written) with customers and prospects on product pricing, availability, quality and service.
  • Understand the technical aspects of product functionality and quality, logistics, pricing and customer risk management strategies
  • Understand the competitive landscape
  • Respond to customer service concerns related to company related issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven outside sales success in B2B and B2C environments
  • Strong face to face and phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Mastery of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and CRM systems and practices
  • Accountability for daily/weekly sales activity via Management Team reporting guidelines
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and the ability to adapt/respond to different character types
  • Prioritize and manage time effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred

Location:

  • Corporate Office: 3616 S Genesee St, Seattle 98118
  • Sales Territory: Greater Puget Sound Region

Shift:

  • Primarily weekdays, normal business hours. Flexibility needed for market segments that operate outside of M-F / 8-5pm.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary + Commission
